Membership Payments. A reminder that membership payments are due annually at the start of the CEC’s fiscal year, 1 June. These are an essential contribution to the CEC’s ongoing activities, and directly support all of the CEC’s projects. Thank you all for your continued support! If you have questions about the status of your membership payments please get in touch with jef (Administration).
Nominations for New Honorary Members of the CEC. The CEC is seeking nominations for new Honorary Members — though note the quickly approaching deadline of 15 January! Send your recommendations to the CEC’s Secretary, Simon Chioini. Nominations will be assessed by an external Focus Group specifically formed for this task, which then makes recommendations to the Board, with the results communicated to membership shortly thereafter.
Departure of Administrative co-Director jef chippewa. Last, but certainly not least, the Board is sad to announce the departure of CEC Administrative co-Director jef chippewa. Long-time members will know that jef has been the heart and soul of the CEC since 2005, and has been completely invaluable in keeping the CEC on the rails and moving forward for two very active and impactful decades. jef will be moving on for personal and professional reasons from the end of February 2025, and the Board has been holding transition meetings with both Administrative co-Directors jef and Yves since early November. It is almost impossible to express the extent of the CEC’s gratitude to jef for all he has done over such a long period, and we wish him all the best for the future!
