“Composing” is a piece always in progress, never stable, always changing. The piece has taken its initial shape during my 5-day residency at the Music Gallery which preceded its premiere concert. “Composing” will never be a finished ‘work of art,’ but rather an opportunity for a never-ending compositional search. Each new context will bring the piece to a temporary completion and give it new ‘life’. HW
