“Cymbal Simon” is an exploration of the sound of a cymbal. One 18 inch cymbal is the only sound source. Five single attacks (hard, soft, etc) and two rolls (sticks, mallets) were recorded. Most of the piece was realized with musique concrète techniques and some digital processing. JD
