This work is a suite from my opera “Saxarba”. The opera, for counter tenor, actress, dancer, slides, tape and synthesizers, was commissioned by Comus Music Theater. The suite, a selection of tape pieces from the opera, woven together to form a coherent whole uses the prerecorded voices of soprano Billie Bridgman and sound poets Steven Smith and Richard Truhlar. The voices have been processed in a number of different ways - from editing, to digital and analog signal processing, to multitracking. SF
