Jorge Sad (Buenos Aires, 1959) obtained his degree in music composition from the Facultad de Artes y Ciencias Musicales in Argentina. He studied electroacoustic composition with Marcelle Deschênes at Université de Montréal and was visiting Scholar at CCRMA (Stanford University) in 1995. His work is composed of pieces for small chamber groups or soloists with or without electronics, works for improvisers and live electronics, acousmatic pieces and composition for multimedia spectacles. His music has been played in concerts and festivals around the world like Korea World Music Days, Festival de Musica de Sao Paulo, L’espace du son, Seoul International Computer Music festival. Jorge Sad has been awarded many first prizes in his country and was selected finalist at Métamorphoses d’Orphée (2001) and Xicoatl (2005) international contests. He teaches electroacoustic music at LIPM, Buenos Aires and composition at Conservatorio Alberto Ginastera.
