“Pour M:” is one of seven electroacoustic pieces written in memory of departed colleagues. The ‘M’ in this instance refers to the distinguished Canadian composer Micheline Coulombe Saint-Marcoux (1938-1985). “Pour M:” works out through an ‘electronic ensemble’, a limited set of melodic and rhythmic motives in a language that is both ‘serial’ and ‘minimal’.
