The Old Country is a live computer electroacoustic piece. The composer has prepared a repertoire of gestures that can be selected/triggered during the performance by touching special keys on the computer keyboard. The sound synthesis instruments are therefore “played”, via MIDI, by the computer under human control. This piece is a live version of an excerpt of the choreography “PS: M’as-tu vu te regarder?” by Cheryl Prophet and Daniel Soulières.
