This music was produced originally for the video-opera “OUT” premiered in Montréal in December 1985 at the Société de musique contemporaine du Québec (SMCQ). In addition to computer music and video tape, “OUT” included dance, live video image processing, live MIDIed percussion and saxophone players. The argument of the opera is a journey through the “OUT-Realities”. In 2084 the world government institutes the psychic immigration to the “OUT-Realities” to solve the problems on earth. The "OUT-Realities" are created in your brain by reality-synthesizers programmed by "OUT-Realities" engineers, the “Creators”. This reduced version includes only the sections without narration: God's Greatest Gift; Impossible Orchestra; OUT-Reality; and Nô-Where. The music was recorded at the Fairlight Studio of the Faculté de musique of the Université de Montréal and the Studio Bruit Blanc, by the composer. AT
