Electroacoustic Kamikaze and inveterate acoustic handyman. 1975-87 member of the Montreal group SONDE as composer / performer / sound sculptor / electronic system designer … Since 1968, philosophy teacher, now retired, at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal. Acoustic installation artist since 1985. Since 1997 has participated in the Communications programme at the CVM. Secretary of the CEC from 1987 to 1990 (approx). 1966 B.A., University of Toronto; 1970 M.A., Université de Montréal; 1976 B.Mus, McGill University (studied composition with Allan Heard, Mario Bertoncini, Harry Freedman); 1981 Ph.D. Université de Montréal (thesis on the æsthetics of Georg Lukàcs).
