Elizabeth Hinkle-Turner received her D.M.A. in 1991 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She has most recently served as acting director of the electronic and computer music studios at Florida International University in Miami and visiting director of the Experimental Music Studios at the University of Iowa. Other teaching positions held by Hinkle-Turner have been at the University of Illinois and the Oberlin Conservatory. She is the treasurer of the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States (SEAMUS), and the technical liason for the International Alliance of Women in Music (IAWM).
