Louis Dufort is a Montréal-based composer with numerous productions in a range of genres in his repertoire: fixed support, mixed works with live processing, videomusic and installations. He has received many commissions from various ensembles and music organizations, including ACREQ, SMCQ, Réseaux des arts médiatiques, Chants libres, Codes d’Accès, ECM+, Quasar Saxophone Quartet, Quatuor Bozzini, The Users, Musée Pointe-à-Callière, ZKM (Germany), Sixtrum and Radio-Canada. Since 1996 he has also been a regular collaborator with the Compagnie Marie Chouinard. In parallel to his creative work, Louis Dufort teaches composition at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and is Artistic Director of the AKOUSMA festival.
