“Nexus” is a piece that was inspired by the ongoing attempts in Central America to create an active dialogue between the forces that represent the government and the wealthy strata of society and the forces which represent the poor and dispossessed. To a large degree, the struggle in Central America is between those who have ‘nothing’ and those that have ‘everything’. Land reform, money for public education and helath care, along with a more meaningful ‘democratic society’ have been the central issues. TL
