Diana McIntosh

for piano and flute

The aurora borealis, which is highly visible in Canada in winter, prompted McIntosh to write this piece inspired by 3 different manifestations of light. The 3 movements are called “Dawn”, “Corona” and “Northern Lights”. It is a lyrical, evocative piece. Commissioned by Patricia Spencer.
