Shawn Pinchbeck is an Edmonton, Alberta, Canada based composer. His activity as an electroacoustic composer often finds him exploring a range of practices within the field; in addition to studio work he incorporates elements such as interactivity, multimedia and live performance. Shawn is a lecturer of digital audio and interactive art at the Estonian Academy of Art in Tallinn, Estonia. He was one of the founding members of the Edmonton, Canada based Boreal Electroacoustic Music Society (BEAMS) where he curates a regular concert and, until recently, was President for 12 years. Shawn holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Birmingham where he studied electroacoustics with Jonty Harrison and Eric Oña.
