Creative structure in the Cybernetic Orchestra
Interview from 30 November 2011 immediately after the Cybernetic Orchestra’s concert in McMaster University’s Convocation Hall. The Hamilton stop on the CEC’s 25th Anniversary Tour was made possible with the collaboration of the Department of Communication Studies and Multimedia of McMaster University.
Amy McIntosh is a new media artist and curator living in Hamilton ON. She recently graduated from McMaster University with a Masters degree in New Media and Communications. Her graduate research explored presentational methods of visualizing code in live coding performance and generative installation. She is a senior member of the McMaster Cybernetic Orchestra, an innovative electronic music ensemble run out of McMaster University. Amy is also co-founder of HAVN — Hamilton Audio Visual Node, an arts collective and collaborative studio/gallery in Hamilton’s James Street North Art District.
